We can help you

Feel Good Together.

By using mindfulness, attachment theory, and the latest research in neuroscience,

we help couples transform their relationship from a source of pain into a source of sustaining joy.

When things started out, your relationship was EASY.

You didn’t have to WORK on your relationship.

You didn’t have to QUESTION it.

Then life became more COMPLICATED...more STRESSFUL.

You moved in together. You bought a house.

Work became more demanding. You had children.

And now you can’t stop FIGHTING.

About how to fill the dishwasher. About working late.

About who's using their smartphone too much.

Fights about small stuff become fights about big stuff.

You ended up disconnected and alone.

You feel MISERABLE.

You wonder if you’ve made a BIG MISTAKE.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

We Can Help

We help you cut through the distress, the defensiveness, the fighting.

We help each of you speak from a tender, heartfelt place.

We help clarify what each of you need to feel good.

And we’ll set out a path to help you get there.

We help you create the relationship you’ve been longing for...

Imagine your partner smiling, just because you are near.

Imagine having an unquestioning trust in your partner.

Imagine knowing that your partner desires you.

Imagine sharing easy laughter again.

You don’t have to just imagine it, with our help, you can live it.

It’s time to

Feel Good Together

Couples Counseling

We help couples shift from distress and distance, to harmony and reconnection. We help couples get back in touch with the love they've lost. Or, to decide that it’s time to move on.

We have concrete tools that stop fights from escalating and tools that promote effective communication.

Couples Counseling For 1

Do you and your partner need help, but only one of you can come to couples therapy? No problem.

We have helped many couples transform their relationship through our unique "couples therapy for one" approach. We will teach you specific communication techniques so that you can express yourself in a way your partner can hear.

Individual Therapy

You are feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to turn. How would it feel to have someone who understands what you’re going through?

We also help individuals who are not in a relationship, or who are in a relationship that is not the main problem.

We have successfully treated mood disorders like anxiety and depression.

The Plan

Mindfulness • Attachment Theory • Neuroscience

Based on what we now know from the latest research in neuroscience, deep healing on a fundamental level is possible. We no longer need to just treat symptoms at the surface level. We can cue up and facilitate "corrective emotional experiences" that can profoundly heal past hurt and trauma for both individuals and couples.

We use the most up-to-date therapeutic practices in both our individual psychotherapy and our couples/marriage therapy sessions. Whether you are an individual suffering from anxiety, depression, or the after-effects of trauma or neglect, or if you are part of a couple trapped in a negative cycle of fighting or withdrawal and isolation, we can help.

You don't need to suffer any longer.

About Our Therapists

The therapists at the Center for Relational Transformation, located in Chicago's Loop, have been selected not only because of their sharp intellect, but also because of their warmth and compassion.

Moreover, they have been trained in the latest advances in affective-neuroscience as it relates to psychotherapy and marriage/couples counseling in order to facilitate growth and healing in the shortest time span possible.

Each of our therapists has achieved Level 1 status in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). AEDP is a form of treatment founded by Dr. Diana Fosha that brings together the latest advances in attachment theory (the science of human connection), interpersonal neurobiology (the physiology of human connection), and mindfulness practices (non-judgmental awareness which is so important to healthy human connection).

With this cohesive therapeutic approach, we have seen profound shifts in both couples and individuals in a relatively short amount of time.

Let us help facilitate your rapid personal and relational growth.
